If that's "In A Gadda Da Vida", then this lamp is "Summer The First Time"... (Somehow it's a welcoming sight to see, coming in the house, on a sweltering Summer Day, but Bobby played better at the apartment, that we'd lived in before here...)

I wanted to find more bulbs like this one (Phillips Halogena; see Photo 3) that look good in this lamp, after its mate burned out... (There were three like this, going for $20, a piece all with the "T-Bulbs" in 'em (60w Westinghouse Eye Saver, NINE o' those bulbs, in all!) at an antique mall that I had no money for even one of, but if not for missing out on 'em, I wouldn't have gotten this one for $6 at a second-hand shop in Berkley...

Although at a Salvation Army in Mt. Clemens was a floor lamp which held 2 bulbs in pull chain sockets, that I got the screen-shade, the "originals" had--for $14; this one originally didn't have, but had a fancy, tall "weather vane-like" ornament that this shade can't hold, so it has just a plain spike...

I decided to contend w/ CFL's for the time being, at least they won't burn up the socket guards, which I'd replaced, as well as the cord for it... No matter, the yellow GE Bug Light in the perfect yellow w/ an almost-orangish hue is what I mostly have on... (And that's been there for an enormously long time!)
