Nice dishwasher ! I kinda like the racks on this one. I am wondering about the spacing of the tines in the front of the lower rack, looks like the left side has wider spacing than the right. The thing with my Miele is that the tighter spacing side is kinda useless for some things that I have for plates and the very corner two plates don't get washed as well as the rest of the rack. It's a dead zone. But what kinda surprised me was the Miele logo embossed on the lower wash arm. Very nice touch! The other thing is that the water line in doesn't have the solenoids where the water connects to the inlet line. Mine has the solenoids right at the connect point.

Hi Mike.
Yes, I was a little miffed when I saw that the solenoid was not in the fill line like the one it replaced. Also there is no Salt reservoir either on this model. I believe this is the next up from the BOL model. Yes, the Miele Logo is elegant looking. But those spray ports seem smaller than ever. I think they have the machine installed so I will check on the progress and noise level. They generally can not be heard operating. |

Don't be fooled by the size of those jets! They pack a punch. The arms are like mine, minus the embossing on the lower arm. i was thinking that too about the model being near the bottom of the rung...the tip off is the racks and the silverware tray, but no worries it will still perform well. I wonder if this model will alternate arms like mine does.
As far as not having a water softener goes, as long as your water isn't really hard, there should not be an issue with performance as long as a good detergent is used. But getting back to the jet size, compared to what the jets are in the previous machine, yeah they are much smaller. Miele makes up for the that with a higher wash arm speed. Once the machine is hooked up you will see what I mean. I know with mine, I can throw things at it like crusty pots and pans, and they come out spotless. |
