Is that time of the year again (already)! I thought I'd start the thread for IFA 2016, though I'm yet to see anything new so far, lets add to the thread with new appliances, and innovations!! |

Whirlpool said they would alternate between IFA and EuroCucina - this year it was EuroCucina they went to. Panasonic and Gorenje will be there as well. So far, Panasonic will have fridge/freezers with colored LEDs inside to preserve vegetables better and Gorenje has new dishwashers.

The washer dryers look well nice! I prefer them to the washers! One thing I dislike about my W1 and the washer dryers is the depth of the machines are slowly increasing, not just Mieles but most now. Still, Id have one any day! Will be interesting to see how they compared to their pre-decessors too, Ive used a few and I wasnt too impressed with them!

The AquaWave® technology is inspired by the natural movement of waves: a specially designed drum pattern gently carries the faundry through the water, moving it smoothly around.
Families who attach high priority to gentle, efficient washing are weil catered for with the new XL capacity washing machines WY104764MW and WY114764MW. Both models are fitted with an extra-large AquaWave® drum in standard depth, which means the WY104764MW holds ten kilograms, and the WY114764MW impressive eleven kilograms. The AquaWave® technology helps to make your favourite garments last langer: the specialdrum and door glass designs move the laundry smoothly, so that the materials are handled gently and cleaned deeply. Thanks to incorporation of the long-lived ProSmart™ Inverter Motor, the washing machines are 20 per cent more economical than other appliances in energy efficiency class A+++. For different materials and needs, users can choose between 16 different washing programmes, including numerous special programmes like the CooiCiean™ cold-wash programme for cotton materials, a SteamTherapy™ programme for delivering easy-iron laundry, and a woolmark certified wool programme. Users also have a self-cleaning programme available for the drum.

Chestermikeuk what is Innovation 70... I mean why 70? There's not much info about that Candy... I only found an article so far which is all in Italian (link below).
I guess all companies splash out with innovation on these kinds of exhibitions but really and truly all the technology mentioned there was already available in Candy group machines before this very model... the load recognition especially was already part of every single machine of theirs since the beginning of the millennium even in most of their BOL range. They should mention that their machines have water pressure recognition as well as almost every other non-Hoover/Candy machine I've tried in a low water pressure environment has been going into panic mode... well... maybe they'll say that at the next IFA ;) CLICK HERE TO GO TO Haxisfan's LINK |

Here's the Hoover version of the Candy seen above which will boast a new component called TED (Textile Expert Detector), namely a scanner that recognises the fabrics inserted in the drum.

That's right Mike... I was a little disappointed to hear that TED is a separate device... I guess it would still come handy if someone was in doubt as to what kind of fabric makes up their garments (ie if the wash label has come off or it's unreadable). That's said, I'm overall satisfied enough with the way how Hoovers in general treat different loads according to their size and absorbency: I guess all these innovations we're seen nowadays are mostly gimmicks. I do like the display and interface they're using on these machines though.

I think Miele chanhed their way of handling patents over the past couple of years. I mean, they lost the patents on cutlery trays, they lost the Auto Open patent and now they even lost the glass care water bypass patent as it seems. Weren't they once verry entitled on keeping those patents? |
