And then, this kitchen that not only held the wonderful stove, it also has the WORLD'S BEST cook. We were greeted with macroni and cheese, baked beans, barbeque chicken, potatoe salad, coconut cream pie, pecan pie, chocolate pound cake, and a few other tasty dishes, all home made by Steve. I think he even made the pasta with one of his 4 kitchen aid mixers.

YEP, it came home with me. All the way from Omaha to Atlanta, now Pensacola. Many thanks to ganksy1 (Greg) and Steve (Gyrafoam) who considered my wants and feeling. Greg dontated this wonderful washer and Steve hauled it for over a thousand miles, just so I could have one. They even tested it's sea worthiness and mechanics to make sure I had nothing to do once I took delivery. These type of folks are RARE.

THANKS

We have a lot more pictures, however, this camera that we have does not let pictures of equal size be posted. Sorry Scott, we will send you yours on Don's email.

If any of you folks ever get the chance, and want to meet and enjoy a very wonderful person, visit Steve in Atlanta.

We all had such a great time.

WOOHOO!!! Looks like y'all had a lot of fun, thanks for the pictures! Steve B, congrats on the Rapidry 1000 Rollermatic...you're on a roll here already with the Unimatic, 1-18, and finally this one!!! Now to find a Pulsamatic, Multimatic and Skinny-Mini! ;-)

Steve R, you have quite a collection; the Highlander sure looks splashy with those jeans!

And I see you now have an Agi-Tamer as well. It will come in SO handy when you least expect it; mine has saved me many times! I didn't like the messy water-hose setup on mine, so I cut off the connector and now it's air powered! Even with my little diaphragm compressor it will still lift me up off the ground and was able to get a horribly stuck Kenmore agitator out with no problems!

toggleswitch's profile picture
Hi guys!

Resizing the pics to 4x6 @100 pixels per inch works for me.
Should bring it down to below the threshold/bytes limit.

Thanks so much for posting!

Post# 133400 , Reply# 28   6/5/2006 at 15:11 (6,528 days old) by westytoploader ()

Steve, didn't see your message before. The maximum picture size you can post in the Discuss-O-Mat or photo viewer is 1024 X 768, or 400000 bytes. Try reducing it to that and see if it works. Are you getting the "you are trying to upload a file exceeding 400000 bytes" page?

Post# 133402 , Reply# 29   6/5/2006 at 15:31 (6,528 days old) by jasonl (Cookeville, TN)

Get Irfanview. You can resize to a perfect 1024x768 OR set your camera to take the pic at that resolution. It will save ALOT of memory space doing it that way. Unless you're going to print it on a large format printer, 1024x768 is just fine. A normal television can't display that resolution and that will almost fill most monitors without resizing it anyway.

Then we have the

mayken4now's profile picture
1-18 that is the star of the show.

Steve said to me on Sunday, have you seen the 1-18 that I am holding for peterh770. Thought to myself, what more could I possibly see after all this wonderful collection. I said, well no, I did not, where is it. We proceeded to the barn to take a peek.

(In the meantime, I was told (by Gyrafoam) that it was the 1-18 with all the colored lights that show which cycle and indicated what the washer was doing at any particular moment.) Confused, YEA, to say the least. I was having to take blood pressure medication to stop this excitement, but was willing and wanting to take the plunge at a peek.

He unveils this machine that has amber, red, blue, aqua, green and orange light signal's above all of the dials. Anyone dare to guess which 1-18 this could perhaps be. I was totaly amazed, and acknowleged, "Steve, I have never seen such a Frigidaire Washer before!" It was so exciting, wish you all could have been there.

Steve

What's that joke about a woman being mugged by a gang of gay guys and they do her hair and makeup? Well, that is what happened to that 1-18. Against my wishes, that wonderful 1977-78 Custom Imperial was glamourized with LEDs. What's worse is that as far as I know, the matching dryer is MIA.

I'm sure Steve will post a pic if he took one...

It was really nice to visit with everyone. We all stay in touch on a regular basis, but because of distance rarely get to visit in person. I wished it could have been a "wash-in", but we made do with the '64 Highlander. It was a great time.

Special thanks to Brent who was so kind to help me out with the many little "irons I had in the fire".

You GE impression will always stick in my mind.
Not to mention all of the other things you did to make us laugh.
When do you think that Steve will notice the knob gone off of his WP dryer in the kitchen that you took? Or the coasters that I just had to have from his kitchen table?
Wink.
