Hi all! I would appreciate any help on identifying this particular model Speed Queen that's listed for sale locally. I am new to SQ but my hopes of finding the Maytag that I want is coming to a close. Does anyone know the model or approx age? Is this a good choice? Thank you!

There are others on here who are more knowledgeable about SQ than me, so they might also offer opinions; however, I think if you can confirm that the washer was made by Alliance you should be fine.  I think the console pre-dated Alliance's acquisition of the brand, so it's possible that this washer was produced by the previous manufacturer.

I have a Rayathon built Speed Queen which is still going strong. Rayathon sold Speed Queen to Alliance Laundry Systems in 1998. That machine looks to me that it was Rayathon built.

I'm also thinking they were Raytheon, they look similar to Amana's.

well, you'll know if the tag reads Alliance.....

this looks close to a LWS02, and may have the stainless tub...mine have porcelain tubs...models vary....

most likely single speed...but could be two

no matter what, its Speed Queen underneath, same powertrain, same motor, same all metal construction.....you can't beat it....

this link may be a bit of help as a brochure...
