I'm in need of space, and need to let stuff go. I have a lovely white Maytag A-50 twin tub washing machine that needs a belt, and probably a good wash-down. It has been in my garage for 3 years and has become a place to stack things rather than a useful appliance. The last time I checked it out, the motor hummed quietly, but as I said, it needs a belt.

I have an almost matching dryer, in that it IS an A-50 mate, but it is in one of the 1960s colors - I'll have to check in a couple of days when I have time off. I can't recall if it's avocado green or that weird 70s brown with darker brown around the edges. I am sure it's not white nor is it gold. I just can't recall which of those lovely shades of my youth it is at the moment. The dryer works just fine, or did the last time I plugged it in, about 3 years ago. It, too, has become a flat surface upon which anything can rest that shouldn't.

I'm trying to overcome my hoarder habit, and these are really nice pieces who need a loving home.

The appliances are located north of Kansas City, MO. They can be picked up but not delivered. Even as small as they are, they're too big for my tiny car. Or you can arrange for shipping at your expense. They are FREE. They just need a new home that isn't my poor overstuffed garage.

Any takers? Please email me at diagrah@yahoo.com as I keep forgetting to check the forums here. Two jobs and all that...

Missouri A50

These two pieces are still available, and they are still free. I can't bear to scrap them but I'm pondering a move and change of lifestyle, and there simply won't be space for them.

Please, won't someone step up and rescue them?

Hi Diane!

I'm almost positive, that you are the person that I bought the hoover twin tub from, a few years ago. If I would have known you hag a little dryer, I would have gotten that from you too at the same time!

I hope someone here can save these. I think the little dryers are cute. I wish I had a way to get the dryer from you.
