Here's one for sale in Marin County.  It has a familiar style, but I have no idea whether it's a re-badge of some other make.  The timer sort of reminds me of one you'd see on an EASY Spindrier.

It remotley

resembles a Chambers. California had some very industrious people who made stoves.
One of them even a space program discard, Dacor. Very high end today.
They used their no longer needed insulations for space capsules to make a thinner wall stove. Thermador also was a California company.

"found a

pdf users manual" It's not a California product after all. Circa 1947, Anderson Indiana, far better known as a former General Motors town. That's where the Delco-Remy plants were which made all the switches, alternators, starters, and electrics for GM cars. Not wiring, that came from Packard electric in Warren Ohio.

California stove makers were the result of expensive freight rates--local production meant better margins for everyone.

IIRC the door on the left rolls out to reveal a "Soup Well".  Mick and Bianca had one of these in their NYC apartment that they had refinished top to bottom in chrome.

Yes Jamiel,

shipping a Detroit Jewel cross country likely would have added to the price.
My mom loved the giant one that used to be at the fairgrounds. There is still an old one like it in their basement. One of the two large items we salvaged after the flood in august 2014. The other is a hoosier cabinet.
They were buyers and sellers. I disinfected all the Vileroy and Bach that was in boxes, and brought it home with me.

Our church in Ferndale flooded in the basement--brought home a tubful of china from the basement and ran it through the Bosch...

My understanding is The Anderson Stove Company was started by a person (named Anderson) who used to work for Chambers. Chambers sued them for patent infringement and won.

True David,

and both are now defunct.
A patent is good for ten years. I wonder if then Viking range founder has any heirs to carry on. If not, it will be sold, or close.
