I'm having a kitchen and utility room extension and I will buy a Bosch tumble dryer.

I have 2 questions :

1) Which dryer should I go for as I have 3 choices between the Bosch WTG86400GB and the Bosch WTW87560GB and the Bosch WTW85490GB?

2) The price in Currys is £530 for the WTG86400 and the price for the WTW87560GB is £670 in John Lewis but in Currys is on an offer £40 off £670 and is it £630 and the WTW85490GB is £570 so which is a more sensible price?

My choice would be the Bosch WTW87560GB because I want a dryer to match the Bosch WAW32560GB serie 8 but I feel skeptical about it due to the price.

And the reason why I'm asking is because I need opinions on what you guys think is the sensible choice.

Janak.

The matching Series 8 dryer seems the most sensible choice.

The WTG86400 would be out of consideration as it is not a heatpump dryer, thus suffers from high drying temperatures and low energy efficency. We switched to a heatpump dryer about a year ago and I wouldn't go back.

Between the WTW87560 and the WTW85490, the 560 has the EcoSilence drive as well as the more advanced heat pump. Just compare the cycle times of both mentioned on the Bosch homepage, the Series 8 is an hour faster.

However, I wouldn't go for any BSH dryer ever again. They don't reverse tumble at all and even though some do not have problems with it, ours tangeled everything. If I had to choose, I'd go with an Electrolux build one any day. Its bedding cycle reverses every 2 minutes as far as I know.

I think all the models you have mentioned are condenser dryers.  Is there any reason why you can't have a vented dryer?
