So today when I came down at 4:05am my with my Bosch I expected it to start the prewash and main wash on the boilwash but it was ending the final rinse and at 5:30pm yesterday I set it to delay start for 11 hours but it started at 1:00am this morning and I was shocked with it when I came down to see that it was on the final rinse with 0:16 on the clock even though I expected it to start the prewash and main wash. I think that is a complete waste of £600. I am starting to hate my Bosch now as it has the stupid sensitive OOB software and I am thinking about getting a refund and returning it!!!!!!!!! I have 3 questions. Is it a fault or not?

1) Am I better off with getting this machine fixed or telling Bosch about it?
2) Am I better off getting a refund and returning it to John Lewis?
3) If I get a refund / return it which machine should I get?

Janak

I wonder if it`s possible they`ve changed the "delay start" to a "delay finish" on later models ?

Yup, this is a delayed start where you select the end time not the start time. The current model it shows as "finished in..." rather than a delayed start time. So, your 11 hours will mean the machine thinks you want it finished in 11 hours time, and will work backwards to start the machine from that 11 hours minus the expected wash time.

So to answer your questions:
1 - not a fault (unless the front of the machine very definitely and clearly says "start in...")
2 - if there's a fault with the balancing sensor, speak to Bosch and ask them.
3 - JL will be unlikely to offer you a refund if the machine is not faulty.
