In Atlanta, GA Craigslist

This range is a classic style and was the pinnacle top of the line of design and quality. It is a beautiful brown-bronze color by General Electric and has a lighted SELF CLEANING oven. (See the window shield tabs on the oven door.)

The matching range hood has the controls for the range burners mounted in its front edge. Locating the burner controls up high was considered a prime safety feature since it put them completely out of children's reach.

I think the burners are all completely functional but I haven't used them personally. I think the oven needs a new thermostat. The clock and kitchen timer work fine. The hood is a standard 30" and the range is the matching width narrower dropin size.

Include your phone number in your response for the address.

Thanks, Louis

Briarcliff

Wow, that's unusual.  I don't think I have ever seen a drop-in with the range-top controls on the vent hood before.

GE did a lot of those.

They even made some models that had the button panel wall mounted on cook tops only.

One of my neighbors had this exact model of Mark 27, though in Avocado. It was installed in the Summer of '72 as part of a full kitchen remodel. She replaced it several years ago with a newer GE 27" drop in with integral controls. She say she misses the hood mounted controls.

I have been aware of this one on the Atlanta CL for a while now.  The seller started out at $100, then $40, now just asking for an offer.  There's not a bigger fan of the Mark 27's than moi, but my range is in an island - absolutely no way to make the hood/range connection work.  Otherwise I would have already made arrangements for this one.  However, the text of this current ad indicates that the range needs some TLC; that's more information than his previous ads stated.  Still - a very cool cooking product.

The way some people put this filthy crap up on line for sale makes you wonder if they even bother to shower and shave before going out for social engagements.
