Look older and the dryer appears to be gas.

 The Detroit ad washer is sometime in late 1978. I got mine April 1978 and iot looked exactly like this one, except it had 3 speed combinations rather than two and did have the extra rinse option like this one. The dryer is standard capacity, not the big load dryer like I had. Me thinks that dryer is electric, I cannot see the little grill/vent on the lower panel of the dryer that was there for gas dryers. My mom bought essentially the same washer, but didn't have the extra rinse option, at Fingers Furniture in Houston Fall 1978. And she too got the big load dryer like mine. | ||

Here's a pic of mine manufactured Jan, 1978. You can see it doesn't have the orange and yellow on the cycle indicator compared to the one above.
