It's pretty with the red trim though. It's the only wringer I might use a few times. |

Was one of the next rated wringer washers CR liked. While they rated Maytag excellent and their top choice, it was also expensive. CR gave Norge and IIRC Speed Queen "Acceptable" ratings, which IIRC also went to the round tub Maytag for some reason.
Only thing that would worry me about even a NOS Norge wringer is the lack of parts. |

what's the purpose of the red basket that's up along the top rim of the washer's tub? |

Trying to catch up whilst one works up a masterpiece for tomorrow. Learning a ton, from the masterpiece as well as this revealing machine. I must have the MOL model because mine lacks the open-toed wringer, hahaha, and the filter, making this the TOL of Norge C.'s for iteration, mid-to-late 60's. Turns out that by 1953 or thereabouts, most brands offered three models, but with the vast vast majority of purchasers not buying the TOL's, few few survive, this being a rare rare find. This is the first Norge I've seen with a filter and a Visimatic copycat wringer. No one, it seems, was to be outdone by anyone.
1953 is a clue to what I'm working on, so now I have to go go go ! |
