Will likely pick this machine up on Monday for technical examination and repair worth evaluation-it is a fancy,American size HE washplate type washer:All stainless interior, window lid,BLDC direct drive,ETC. Makes a nasty scraping sound on spin and only gets up to about 400 rpm.anyone know if this is a decent machine worth a repair effort?

junked it

inner bearings were bad and the washplate splines where it fits the shaft were badly worn,so with that last problem a bad design IMO,stripped the washer of good parts and the rest went into the dumpster. This washer lasted someone 4 yrs-pathetic,but still 2 yrs longer than some I have found at the dump lately...

LG...

sad when someone spends ~$600 for a fancy washer and it lasts barely more than 1000 days...I probably could have fixed this washer for~$200,but with 20+other washers did not really need it.A 2010 VMW cabrio I salvaged and repaired seems more mechanicaly robust-the cabrio working like new after a bad(junk Chinese)capacitor was replaced on the control board :)Forgot to mention the LG washer did have a 1200w water heater. The stainless steel washbasket was one of the parts salvaged from the LG and it might repurpose as an outdoor planter :)
