Earlier this year I posted some items for sale, and thankfully everything found a home.

I have a few appliances left that I'd love to see go to new homes.  Email me at bswestka@gmail.com if interested (not sure why my AW mail isn't available).

First up - 1964 Lady Kenmore washer, in turquoise.  I've decided I don't need a half dozen belt drives in the collection, so this one is on the chopping block.  It was missing the 3 speed motor when I got it, in fact it was missing a motor completely!  I threw a two speed motor in it to test and everything sounds pretty good.  I suspect someone could clean this up and use it as-is (bearings sound OK), but I'd personally do a full bearing and spin-tube job on it to be on the safe side, with new seals.  All buttons have the corresponding letters, which seem to go missing.  Original agitator is in pretty good shape, and the timer advances just fine.  Cosmetically it is in really nice shape and the tub has a shine to it.  I'm asking what I have in it - $300 OBO.

Next up - a 1967 Imperial Frigidaire dryer.  This is a gas dryer and is in wonderful condition.  I pulled it out of the original owner's home.  It was purchased new and paired with a Control Tower Unimatic!  It was still in use, and in fact had dried a load of towels the morning before I pulled it from the house.

I only have two photos of the dryer, but I can snap some more if anyone is interested.  $50

Next up - a 1955 Frigidaire Combination fridge.  This was originally sunny yellow, but it was shot with avacado at some point in the 70's.  The paint is actually in really nice shape, however I wouldn't blame the future owner if they wanted to paint it.  It cooled great the last time I used it, which was actually several years ago.

I believe I have an NOS cold control for the fridge.  I really need this one to go, so I've got it priced to sell for what I believe I paid for the cold control.  $25.  Light bulbs are not part of the sale.  :)

Before I throw this out, would someone want this Mini-Basket/filter pan/softener dispenser?  I think it's for a large capacity GE, but I'm not certain.  I'd rather not ship this, but if someone really wants it and they'll pay for shipping and the shipping materials, I could be persuaded.

Lastly - it's time for the '63 Frigidaire to go.  I have replaced the outer tub with a minty one that has been sealed with POR-15.  Unfortunately it has begun to leak transmission fluid (quite a bit) and the start switch will need to be looked at.  Lastly, there are some scrapes and damage to the porcelain on the side of the washer, but the rest of the porcelain finish is in really, really nice shape on the top and front.

I hate to let this one go, but I can't save everything and I don't have time to give it the attention it needs.  I'll throw in a new brake package and clutch assembly, a new timer, a spare motor; however everything within the drive section of the transmission has worked flawlessly.

Being sold as-is.  Please know that this will need some service work which will include servicing the transmission.  $250 OBO.

Ben, What's your timeframe on needing this out of your way? I am interested--but a lot of that will depend on what shipping costs will run me. Need to work on getting some quotes before I make an emotionally-driven decision here :/ Thx~Allen

Hey Allen - I'm pretty flexible.  It doesn't need to be tomorrow, but I'd say sometime in the next month or so would be nice.

It'd almost be more worthwhile my moving to Iowa. I'd happily take all your goodies….I wouldn't mind having that Frigidaire combination, either…

'63 Frigidaire is a bit of a fetish for me, as some people already know

Ben:
I would be interested in the '67 Frigidaire - Does it have a pilotless ignition??

Bob - great question.  It certainly does have a pilotless ignition system!  Which means that the insides are perfectly preserved.  I think I may have the original owners manual for this dryer as well.  The original owner thoughtfully kept all the paper work for her appliances.

Does This Help?

Bob,

I'm interested in the WCI-63, but don't have enough time saved up to drive for it. If it is available and you drive to get your dryer and would have room for the washer and wouldn't mind bringing it back, I'd gladly pay for your gas at the very least. Please let me know and I'll arrange payment with you and Ben.

Thanks,
Rich

Nice set of wheels!  Those early 2nd gen Firebirds are a personal favorite.

Bob - I've got you down for the dryer!  I'm glad it's going to a good home.

Allen/Rich - I've got messages out to both of you.

Thanks for the interest, everyone!

Ben

For some reason I cannot get access to my email since last nite. Hopefully that's temporary…so~I will just back out here on the '63 Custom Imperial. I'm getting grief about it here at home so whomever else up here is lined up for it will be pleased! Thanks for giving me a shot--!

I'm probably going to drive and get the dryer if Rich decides to get the washer.
What weekend works for you - Rich is coming up to my house Sat. week (10/22) so we have to come after that .

I just wanted to be sure that you really want to pass on this beauty. 1963 and especially 1964 are really difficult years to find. I was interested because I have an original turquoise/gray agitator for the machines made late 1963 through mid 1964 with multimatic transmissions. I did have a WCI-64, but it came with the rollermatic transmission and the jet cone agitator.

Thanks,
Rich

Yes…it is killing me because I do know how scarce they are. But, for peace at home-life, I have to back out. I'm lucky that I've not been raked over the coals for the 3 vintage refrigerators I've snuck into home already….Once we do our next move to another state and a larger home conducive to collecting this big stuff, things will be different!

Frigidaires

Hi Swestoyz / "Ben". If any of the offers on either the Frigidaire washer ('63) or dryer ('67) fall through, let me know. Don't know if you remember but I have the match to the washer (a filtrator dryer). Just let me know.

Good news - everything has sold!  Well, with the exception of the green Frigidaire fridge.  I'll more than likely need to haul that one off to the scrap yard.

Thanks again to everyone for helping me find new homes for everything in this posting, as well as the first posting!

Doesn't it break your heart when you have to scrap a appliance ?

It is bittersweet. Breaks your heart but then you're kind of happy to have the space again. FOR SOMETHING ELSE !!! LOLOLOL.

If I weren't sitting on about a dozen or so roundtops, I'd be there. Especially being a Frigidaire.

Ben, if you really end sending the 1955 fridge to the scrapyard, I might buy you some parts from it. I have a single door 1955 Imperial Cycla-Matic and it's missing a few door shelves, one of the hydrators is missing a sticker and the butter conditioner door is broken. It's also missing the egg storage...
