My Speed Queen stacked gas dryer timer is completing cycles correctly and shutting off. However I noticed a slight buzzing when I walked past the units. I moved the timer further into the off position and the low buzzing stopped. I put my ear against he machine near the timer and now hear a low humming noise. Not the same buzzing when it finishes the cycles. It does this at the end of all cycles.
Anyone have any thoughts please? The unit is a 2007 model, stacked one piece center control panel. New timer needed? If so I see 4 screws holding the control panel in place and am wondering after knob removal, is this how to replace the timer?
Thanks guys!

If it is the FL stack you may be hearing the transformer

that powers the washers controls, in any event if the noise is not bothering you and the machine is working leave it alone.

Thanks for replying. Yes it is the stacked so called 1 piece unit with the waist high control panel. Not a bother at all. Was worrisome. Thanks for putting me at ease. Just something else running and using unnecessary power like my cable box that never really goes off.

My Huebsch washer has been buzzing ever since I got it. I think this behavior is normal. It's probably a transformer that doesn't have rubber mounts to absorb the vibration from the 60 hz.
