Hi, I have a DV42H5000EW Samsung dryer, about 10 months old. A few months after owning it, it started making a terrible grinding noise for the first 10-15 minutes of a load of laundry. Please see attached video.

Sounds like the motor

because it's that type of buzzing. Does the pitch or loudness change as the dryer heats up? It may only be a thin metal cabinet part rubbing against another, or the burner baffle, like my Whirlpool dryer does.
They have lightened them up so much to save raw material and cost.

Thank you for the reply. It goes away completely (100%) in about 15 minutes after starting a cycle. And the amount of clothes has zero effect, if I have an empty drum it still makes this noise at the start.

Does that change your answer or narrow down the issue?

No, doesn't chasnge my answer.

I've learned to not pay attention to intermittent noises from things.
If it isn't broke, don't fix it.
Once I took my car in for a noise, and two days later something else broke.
If the noise is trouble, it will get worse, and constant.
You can vacuum out the exhaust of lint, and inside the lint screen chamber though.
I do that every six months.

It doesn't sound like a motor but why aren't you calling for warranty service on the dryer this new?
