Hi !
My husband and I just purchased a house, and the kitchen was completely remodeled this past year. However, they purchased Frigidaire appliances, and I'm not really fond of Frigidaire (unless it's the old General Motors versions). Does anyone know anything about this particular dishwasher? It's Model # FFBD2406NS. Looks very basic, but my concern is cleanability, and how quiet and reliable it's going to be. I'm already thinking that we will be replacing it in the next few months (and we havent even moved into the house yet). |

The heavy cycle uses 9 gallons, so if it lacks cleaning power, it certanly is not due to a lack of water. Noise wise this seems pretty basicly insulated. You could alway throw some padding on it, especially behind the kick plate and arround the cabinet. Would be cheaper then a new machine if it cleans well enough. |

I had one similar to this and it worked quite well for me. Had it not been for changing to stainless steel in my kitchen, I would still have it. |

until it breaks, or you have the extra "cash" to upgrade. My step daughter has a Kenmore range by Frigidaire, but the dishwasher is a Kenmore comparable to a Kitchen Aid. Very quiet, stainless inside and out and cleans very well. |

Thanks everyone. I feel better about having it. I'm sure they bought this as part of an appliance package from Lowe's. There is also a somewhat decent Frigidaire side by side with ice and water in the door. And there is a BOL Frigidaire glass top range. It's not self cleaning and does not have a light in the oven (but an oven window. Go figure). We're not fans of electric cooktops so it will be the first to go with a gas replacement.
