Hello everyone,
A few months ago I was able to get an Asko WL6511XXLW with matching dryer. I paid $100 for the set and was told the washer drain pump was out, and that the dryer was making "noise". Turned out drain pump was fine but dryer needed new rollers which was a free repair from Asko. After using these for the last 3 weeks, I am less than impressed. I find this new set vibrates like crazy, "extra hot" is lukewarm compared to my W660, and just seems cheap. Am I missing something? I am seriously considering posting these on craigslist and making a profit. Someone talk me out of it if I shouldn't.

I read those as target temperatures for water intake, not target temperatures for the heater.

You'll have plenty of company, there are Asko washer and dryers all up and down such listings.

Asko quality of old fell by the wayside after the company was sold one or more times. The Asko "USA" units in particular seemed to have been a disaster. You read pages and pages of complaints from owners of Asko washers going through motors like candy. Have a hunch what was really needed was new brushes, but repair men didn't want to bother.

That's one of those "made in Korea" machines Asko was selling for a while isn't it? Certainly not a real "made in Sweden" Asko so it can't be judged the same. I'm not sure if it's an LG or Samsung but when I looked at one locally a few years ago the salesman told me it was a Samsung and I replied, "No way!" and walked away to look at the Miele on display. I think I'm one of the few people here who've actually gotten 20 years use out of an Asko, and it's still running (just needs a new timer). Their quality went way down when Antonio Merloni took them over.

I frequently look on CL here to see if I can find older ones like mine for sale but so far nada. Just my own opinion, but if it were me I'd unload them, especially if you can turn a profit!
