Does anyone have a reference as to " who made what" for Sears by using the first three digits of (most) of their appliance model numbers?
For example, I have a Kenmore 562-62030 iron. 562 should be the manufacturer. Does anyone have a list?
Thanks.

Several members here have very extensive lists, if you don't find what you need repost. Somebody will have it.

This really doesn't belong here...

...but I decided to stick it in anyway. Happier times for this company for sure.

Lincoln 1954 Cosmopolatain?, 1953-55 Nash, 1950-ish Buick, 1954-55 Olds., 1954 Chevy Bel-Air, '57 or'58 Buick Century. Red car under the trees is a 1955 Mercury.

That's lovely - there was a time when Sears was a happy place to shop. Good memories.

Extensive lists?

You read my mind!
I was doing research on my Sears Kenmore iron and electric saucepan.
I am now 99 44/100 certain that the iron model 587-62030 was made by Knapp-Monarch and the electric saucepan model 620-65080 was made by National Presto.
That being said, I was wondering if anyone kept a list.
Particularly regarding this group, if after doing research, data suggests that you have almost certainly nailed who made a vintage Sears appliance, a list could be handy.
It appears someone has probably (long) beat me to this idea.
