This ad is 2 days old. I called to number to see if it was still available and got voice mail. The seller just returned my call and the DW is still available. It came with her house, which she bought 6-7 years ago. It is currently untested, in her garage.
Fort Walton Beach, FL. $25

Are you going for it? If not let me know.
I'm tempted but it's obviously in bad condition with a lot of that blue plastisol bubbled off, rust and lots of disintegration. Still, I'd be interested in it for the parts alone: pink buttons, two-tone blue racks, the original steel wire silver basket in white. I never knew Hotpoint had its own badged version of the Mobile Maid this early with its own colors. The old GE factory never ceases to surprise me. Would it be too much to hope that there was a rinse agent dispenser behind that front? |

Well, we now know that there was a Hotpoint top loading impeller portable of the GE design. Amazing. A few weeks ago we were wondering. Real Hotpoint portables were front loading. |

No luv, they weren't.
Have service manuals for several Hotpoint dishwashers from the 1960's; under counter, built-in, portable and top loading portable. The latter is almost a dead ringer for GE Mobile Maid with a few differences. You can see a Hotpoint 1960's TL "mobile" dishwasher here: www.automaticwasher.org/cgi-bin/T... Indeed purchased the lot because wanted specifically the repair manual for the top loader as felt it would help with our GE Mobile Maid. This it does for most all purposes. Would have to dig the things out for the model numbers. However there are service manuals for the 1957 "mobile" Hotpoint dishwasher on offer here in the group: www.automatice.org/cgi-bin/index.... |
