Hey gang.   Can anyone confirm the model of this Maytag from the picture?   I'm thinking it might be an A407?

Thanks. smile

Highly likely. Late 1975 to early 1980.

Thanks Mark!

Am I correct that the A407 is a model that came before, but essentially sits between the A308 and the A408 for features?   (i.e., it's like an A308 plus a soak cycle, or like an A408 minus the warm rinse?)   Large tub, but single speed?

It looks to have speed selection buttons to the right of the timer where on an A308 would be a single large "button" that says "Automatic", so not an A308.

Dutin, those "speed" buttons are actually the fabric/cycle buttons.  Regular, Perm Press, and Delicate.

Yes, that's what I was trying to say. Being a single speed washer, an A308 wouldn't have that selection available, just the "Automatic" button/cover.
