I am renting a home in Dublin as I go to school for my masters degree. The home is lovely and quite the time capsule having not been renovated whatsoever in at least 30 years. This was part of the appeal to me as I am a study sustainability. The Belling Classic Ceramic range/stove is quite the joke with the neighbors, who have been poking at our landlord to "at least replace the stove" for years. No need to - it works just fine!
Anyhow, I am a handy person and restore motorcycles in my free time - the perfect tenant for this place. I have gotten the Belling very clean (the last tenants were nasty folks) but I cannot use the top oven because the door spring is broken on both sides, thus the door can't hold itself up and is duct-taped shut. They are very special, long-armed springs with a tight wind and there's just no way I could use anything but OEM to fix it properly...
Does anybody know where I can source parts, or know of any similar lines/models which I could also search for for the springs? The oven is well-worth the repair. It has made it this far in life working perfectly and being cooked with every night for years and years.
