I feel embarrassed that I have never posted pics of my 1952 Maytag J2L wringer washer. I recently waxed her. She is a working girl not a show queen but I love her.

How do you detail your wringer?

I can't give you any info on how to detail your Maytag J2L Derek, but I have to say it already looks to be in beautiful original condition! I used top have one just like it that I bought for $35.00 in 1972 at the Salvation Army. Mine had a pump and I sure enjoyed using it. It was my very first washing machine and if I had the room for another I have one in a hot second. I hope you enjoy using yours too.
Eddie

HI, You could try Bar keepers friend and see what happens. make sort of a paste and don't be too aggressive with rubbing, gently is a good idea and see what happens. Have fun, I have one of these washers too. Gary

That is a beautiful machine you have there.  I like to use car wax on my old machines, then pledge works well too.
