Badge says "Signature" - so would that make this MW?  Looks like maybe a Tappan-built product.

Pensacola, FL  $50

Yeah, it's a Tappan sold by Montgomery Ward.

Sounds like Alternative Heaven to me!

We got the little Wards Signature Westinghouse top-loader at a fantastic MCM home here in Tucson, that was pendant light/floating fireplace/flocked wallpaper-delicious, and *every* appliance was Wards. The box fan, the heater, the typewriter, the Menu Magic range (just like this one, but coppertone)--every last thing.

I wanted to bring Ralph, to see if he'd start shrieking and running into the walls.

That's certainly a possibility---Arizona was an early Wards retail market, so it's plausible. The Zone Manager lived there for his retail rotation out from Chicago, so of course he'd have the Wards stuff in the house.
