I saw my first Empress in 1966. I was 11 years old.
I nearly fell over when I saw the tub move out on it's own. We had a Princess. I often wondered how these cleaned with the larger capacity, the Normal sized BowTie and the same size detergent cup. The Princess roared... I wonder what the sound level was on these beasts ??? | ||

These were all over the place around Atlanta back in the day. I think all impeller machines were pretty noisy, but hey, they moved a lot of water. | ||
