I looked all over the Internet looking for how to remove the dispenser drawer on my Huebsch/SQ Front Loader, but I couldn't find documentation anywhere on how to do this, it's not intuitive. So, hopefully Google will find this and someone else can read my directions.

I had to remove the drawer because the fabric softener compartment was full of water after every cycle. I knew this wasn't normal because when I bought it new, it would always drain.

How to remove the dispenser drawer:
1. Obtain a drawer removal tool from a Speed Queen Dealer, or make your own. (A picture of what the tool looks like is in a link below.) If you do buy one of these tools, do not remove the plastic attached to the tool. It will protect the machine and the drawer against scratches.
2. With the dispenser drawer opened about 3/4 of the way, completely insert the removal tool into the space between the underside of the dispenser drawer and the drawer compartment with the "L" part of the tool facing downwards. It should just barely fit.
3. While holding the "L" shaped part of the tool against the machine, pull on the dispenser drawer. It should "lift up" a little as you are pulling it out.
4. To reinstall the drawer, just insert the drawer into the compartment and "whack" it gently with your hand to get past the detent.

How to disassemble, clean and reassemble the dispenser drawer:
1. Dump all excess water the drawer is holding into a bucket or a drain.
2. Remove the top plastic plate labelled with Bleach and Fabric softener. It should just lift out.
3. Remove the powdered detergent plate. It's held in with three clips.
4. Using Dish Soap and a plastic brush, clean out the detergent and fabric softener residue.
5. The detergent plate should snap back in and the bleach/fabric softener plate should just slip in to its compartment without any clips.

You can also just open the drawer and grab both sides with your hands and pull sharply, do not pull by the handle.

I would usually boil some water in an electric kettle and pour it through the dispenser, then run a rinse and spin.

I remove the drawer each time after I'm through with the machine so it can all dry out, both the drawer and the chamber that holds it.

My sq fl drawer has a catch on the bottom which hooks a catch on the machine. I just push the catch up and over, and the drawer comes right out.
