Hello everyone!

I have a Hobart-made KDS 19 which came with my home and has been working great for the past 14 years or so that I have been here. Last week, It quit draining even after I would cancel the cycle. I opening up the drain pump housing and I found that the outlet had become blocked with broken glass particles, I cleaned it out, put everything back together and it drained fine, only now there is no water flowing into the washer when I run a cycle....checked the inlet valve, no clogs in the filter and there seems to be continuity on both sides. It will spray water from the upper rack when I cancel a cycle, but that's about it. Any clues?

Non Filling KDS-19

Is there 120 volts at the inlet valve coils when the DW is trying to fill ?, if so the valve is bad [ replace ] If no voltage is present check the float and float switch.

We service your area of Silver Spring if you want to call for advice or get stumped and want a service call by techs who are familiar with this DW.

Thanks John. I already checked the float, and it clicks and there is continuity there. When I hit the cancel cycle, I see 120v each time it squirts water as it goes through the settings. It is not giving me anything in wash or prewash when it should be filling up, I suspect the timer may be the culprit, it seems to be doing a lot of clicking.
