I just bought a 1967 Imperial Astro Sonic (Agean) AM/FM-Stereo with 4-Speed Collaro Turntable with 2-Button Phantom Remote Control with (25"-Color-TV) in Solid Pecan Wood!! Everything Work's except for the TV all the 24 Vacuum Tube's are all Original!! The Back has never been off the Console!! The Owner I bought it from had all the Original Recipt's, IBM Card, Hang Card's & Manual & Original Sales
Catalog!! This Was the Top of Line Model!! Does anyone out there have (2) of those White Plastic Glidder's for the (TOP) of the Slidding Door's they were broken in Shipping it!! I would buy a Door to get those (2) Plastic Glidding Clip's on Top of Door!! I know 1967 & 1968 used those clip's!! (2) Screw's held
Those clips in place!!
Does anyone know where to start on the TV Section all the Tube's are the Original!! I don't know the Internet very good at all!!
Also I got (1-Pair) of Magnavox (CTS-Speaker's) they are (15"-Ribbed) and have the Big Square Magnet's in them that was used in the Magnavox Top of Line Console's!! Could I switch the Woofer's without any trouble's? I haven't taken any Picture's yet because I am cleaning the inside & all Dirty Place's!! I need to Overhaul the Turntable yet & put a New Stylus in it!! I know the Turntable is W621-00-01!! The Cabinet is in Real Good Condition!! I have to Work on the Floor Roller's Yet the 4 Block's of Wood is letting loose & have to be (Re-Glewed) down!!
And I know this Console was a Non Stocking Item it was a Special Order Only!! It Sold New for $1,200.00 that was a lot of Money back in 1967!!
It was well taken care of the Man was (92-Year's-Old) who sold it to me!!

Can anyone help me out on this Console & getting the TV up & Running again & help me locate the (2) Plastic Glidder's for the Top of the One Slidding Door!!

Ron

Hi Ron, congratulations your journey begins. We'd all like to see your unit and you will need to take photos anyways because the best website to visit in my opinion would be www.videokarma.org.... Join this group which has a very broad knowledge base with members would be willing to help you. It sounds like a pretty unit but I haven't seen one. It sounds more like a 1962 - 64 Magnavox.. but you do have proof its not. :^) Explore carefully.. if it looks new, it still could be fragile. It sounds like a nice project. Best wishes. And I would love to see the catalog if you can scan and post it somewhere.
