First Stack Washer-Dryer 1957 Westinghouse, Then WH redesigned them in 1964 and they were MUCH better machines.
2nd Frigidaire Skinny-Minny 1969
WP& KM 24" TL Stack 1984
SQ TLS 1986
WCI TLS around 1988
There were several companies that had small portable that could be stacked on various rack systems, most of these were not really serious laundry systems IMEO.
