Hi All, my clutch is slipping mightily - does anyone happen to have the adjustment tool for this unique year?? Its the 1010 rapid dry clutch. Picture below:

The tool isn't exclusive to that year but for all Sure Spin Rapidry Clutches. I never had luck finding one and had a fabricator make one for me using a disassembled clutch plus pictures of the tool. He used a socket that I bought at Sears and made the "fingers" onto the end of it. You'll be in luck if you don't have to take the clutch off. Those darn ring nuts they use break the tabs off when you pull them out to take the nut off the spin shaft and there are no replacements that I've ever been able to find. Don't get me started on ways I've tried to keep a nut on that has no tabs left on it! |
