Looks like a 3 speed TOL machine that has been refurbished.  I believe DirectDriveDave has one of these  with a DAA and white LK tub.

Nick I think this is a 2-speed.  I remember seeing these at Lowes in 1987 or 1988.

I ran across one for sale local approx 12 years ago but didn't take it.

Two-speed with low-speed shift, fully-featured otherwise.  Looks to have the "old-style" Super Wash, plus separate Soak/Prewash, and Extra Rinse option on Normal.

Doesn't look to be the original agitator, shouldn't it be a dual-action?

Agitator dogs

Arthur, I do not believe this was the original agitator design for this high-end washer model.

I refurbished and sold many of these washers, I saw both straight vane and dual-action versions. May have been right at the 95-97 time when Sears' rights to the DAA expired and all the manufacturers offered a version of the same agitator.

You may be right about the agitator. Or the machine may pre-date the end of Sears' patent on DAA. What stumps me is the spreckled tub. I thought this model would have the White Lady Kenmore tub like my 86 KM LTD.

Five-vane agitator...

I had an early 2000s DD that I sold to a co-worker in May '16 which had a five vane agitator and a single speed motor. I always thought it would add an extra vane to the 'shred more' philosophy. I was not aware these were rare?

As to the machine in the ad above, the old Lowe's home improvement store near UNC-Charlotte had one of these with the non-DA agitator on the sales floor from 1990 when I moved there until early 1992 when they finally replaced it with a fresher floor model that had the DA. The machine was built in 1987 and was already three years old when I first noticed it. This was before Lowe's was a volume appliance retailer.

I bought the same model washer...in the late 80's for my mother, as a mother's day present... Worked so well I bought one for my sister in the early 90's as a wedding gift.... lasted much longer than her marriage..... They both had different agitators than the one pictured. The one I bought for my sister in the early 90's she's still using, after 3 kids, only problem she ever had with it was the coupling. the one my mother had was sold with our old house..I bought them both at Sears........
