So there are a few Dexter twins in my area and the one I'm looking at now is mechanicly sound and doesn't leak BUT I was told that during a move one of the washer handles got hit and it was at about a 5 o'clock position. He said the handle itself can be readjusted with a set screw but the agitator won't stop agitating. My question is how are the gearboxes setup in regards to how the agitator control is connected to the gearbox? Could this be something as simple as a cotter key got broken and this could be a 2 hour fix or would it be more likely that some discontinued connection rod or the like got bent,broke,ect.. I know the machine has a good bit of surface rust so I'll have a little work with that but I'd be at a loss if an nla part was damaged in some way. Thanks everyone!
