hello to all aw members,
i wonder i long that maytag neptune will last in a summer cottage i know i was the one that chose it for my mom for the summer cottage, but here is the story my mom when she there and have to do laundry only use the quick wash cycle and the cold water temp the washer dates from 2004 if i was still going at the summer cottage with my mom i would of use warm water or hot water and i thank the site for making me see the light. i am kind of suprise that there is no bad smell or bearing failure in the washer at the summer cottage this is the model i had to google the pic a few years back my mom told me that the washer would tend to stop mid cycle even if i have not seen the washer i can predict that its the mother board thats starting to fail. i know that the water comes from a well but the day my mom tell me that she will have to replace that maytag neptune washer at the summer cottage and replace that washer she will have to realise herself that always using the same water temp can cause unknown problem to a machine only my mom can see this since i am not there i can not do anything sigh and me in my case i clealy do not see the diffrence with a 54 minute wash cycle or 29 minute only that with a 29 minute cycle i would find its not engough in term of washing. i just wish i could make my mom realise this but can not do anything about this
