Would anyone know off hand how to replace a pump hose on a Wilkins Servis wringer washer. The model is a Superheat MK16. The leaking hose is from the pump to the tub. Failing that, does anyone know where I could get a service manual for the machine ? Advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Servis Sump hose,

Hi Johnny, has the hose split and leaking, if its intact I would smother it in clear water sealant and then well dry wrap it in duct tape...if bad the hose is in one pierce from the pump to the back of the helmet hose that enters the tub...the helmet tub side is pushed into the tub wall, its a right angles piece of rubber with a hose connector !! It is fiddly but can be done without taking the top off.....otherwise take the wringer off and undo the screws in the sides, the top will pull off but take care with the fibre / rubber top seal that it doesn't break...

Will scan the service pages when back at the weekend,

Have you got a new helmet hose from ebay ?

Mike

Hi Mike. The hose is really badly deteriorated, so I will have to get a replacement or something similar. I will try out your suggestions first however. Would you know where can I get a service manual for the machine ? Are there any recommended web sites for this type of thing ?

Many Thanks

Heres one near to you ..this is for a twinny so you may have to extend the pipe to get to the pump, wringer hoses are deffo nla..but you will have the original helmet.

Thanks for that Mike. I have just replaced the hose with a standard drain hose. Seems to work fine. However, when I filled the machine with water, I noticed a small drip coming from under where the heating element is located....back to the drawing board I suppose. Again, thanks for all your help.😊
