I don't recall ever actually seeing this model before, but there were many of this vintage of Kenmore dryer back in the day. This was before they changed the design and had a stationary back to the dryer drum and the drum had rollers to ride on. The drum on this design was smaller in depth and width than the later ones and the blower was belt driven. Excellent dryers though, they were very quick whether gas or electric which helped since Kenmore washers were not the best at extracting water from the clothes in the final spin. Which makes me wonder if Whirlpool/Kenmore came out with the extra capacity new design dryer at the same time as the big plus capacity washer. I know this design dryer would never have been able to dry that size load.
This Lady K and Model 80 hail from 1961; the year the cycle buttons changed styles from the 'rocker' buttons of '59 and '60. We had the 1960 Model 80. The top-mounted lint reservoir made for a loud machine, but, as noted, they dried a load quickly.
