I recently purchased a home in Madison WI that has an old 1957 Speed Queen A19 in the basement. It appears in good condition but I have not plugged it in. Included is the original purchase paperwork like guaranty certificate, owners instructions, bill of sale. You come and get it and it is yours.

What a great find - appreciate your trying to find it a good home.

This is a similar 1957 Speed Queen of one of our members here. Yours is probably one step down in the model line.

I considered E-mailing, myself...

A '57 is my dream machine (and reason for my user ID) ever since seeing Eddy110's video of his when I was 10 but I know my parents would not consider driving more than 2.5 hours "for a washer."

Saved

The Speed Queen has been saved. She will be going back to NC this year. Will be storing it for the time being.

Inspiration at YouTube (eddy1210). When you get to this project, I hope you can

get it running as well. I like the design, too.
