We are currently living in Vietnam and plan on returning to the US. We purchased a washer & dryer made in the US while here in Vietnam and it arrived without any power to plug it in. Our maintenance man wired it to use at 220/240. Do you think if we take it back to the US someone can turn it back to a 110?

Thank you,
G

US Built WP Dryer

The dryer pictured was designed to only operate on a 120- 208 or 240 single phase circuit, dryers like this are not supplied with power cords in the US.

The LG washer is not a US built machine but it may be a model built for the US market in which case it should operate fine back in the states.

Do you know what voltage etc that you used these appliances on in Vietnam ?

There will be a ratings label somewhere on the washer-

Listing the voltages and frequencies it accepts. Check those. If you can't find any info, try the manufacturers spec. sheet for it online. It may well be that it will work just fine in the US, though perhaps on 240V. Best to check, though.
