Someone I know here in Cincinnati is selling what appears to be a pre WWII GE double-door refrigerator. It looks like my 1939 SO2 unit, but bigger and in good condition. In fact, it's still in use. It's set into an alcove in its kitchen. The owner doesn't know how much it's worth, but is open to offers. He'd like to see it preserved. If need be, I can store it at my home until someone can get it.
Please send me a message if you're interested or have any ideas. Dave |

That has your name all over it.
I have to go to Dayton sometime to get the tiny Westinghouse. |

Seriously, check the owners manual. Maybe it will tell you if you can transport this monster. It may tell you something more useful than, "do not drink contents of battery". |

That fridge isn't that bad. The bigger issue is to carefully handle it to avoid damage to it's luscious porcelain coating.
I sent a message to Wes on your behalf. The baby Westy lives there also! |

If you doubt that, look at my basements (yes, that's plural) and garage. I've got a few washers.
I also have a 1950 Frigidaire refrigerator which needs a relay and some paint & a 1954 GE upright freezer which could use a door gasket, wiring, & paint. It does have its door keys and is functional. The Frigidaire & GE may be available. Dave |
