The pull out version was sold by Texas Homecare (as was) as a Homark - they would fit in a 500mm wide cabinet and had rubbers under to make them easy to pull out

Thanks Al.

I also came across an old newspaper advert for "Finish" Dishwasher Detergent. The address to write to, was: J Bibby & Sons, Liverpool.

Originally, was "Finish" a Bibby detergent? (Clozone, Pat and Glee were laundry powders also made by Bibby).

J Bibby Ltd - Finish detergent

Here is what I was talking about.

Look at the address on the bottom of the 'cut out and post' coupon.

Interesting...Finish was one of Economics Laboratories (Ecolab now) two brands of household dishwasher detergent---certainly in this era it was Economics Laboratories (not Reckitt or whomever owns it now). This could either be a licensure or did they own this company (i.e. is it familiar to any UK brethren as a provider of institutional chemicals?)

The only dishwasher detergent manufacturers that I know of (going back to the 1980s) were:

Lever Bros, who made "Sun" detergent,
Benckiser, who made "Finish",

and Procter & Gamble, who made "Freedom" - though I only ever saw this once, in a commercial wholesaler's.

Robert McBride of Manchester, typically made detergents for supermarkets, such as the Co-op.
