Hi appliance dude That was in Australia. Amana was made by Hoover here as a delux version of the standard Hoover machine. The tie in all came from when Maytag bought Hoover. They're as rare as hens teeth now as it was an off brand compared to Maytag or Hoover |

No. These are totally seperate machines. My understanding is that they're based on the May tag platform. The American looking hoovers also were the same. They didn't have the reversing motor for agaitation like the standard hoovers. These are from the late 80s onwards |
