GE Combo

This one is a 1968 model, this time period was about the best of the GE combos.

John, what years did they make the combo with this style of console?  Just curious.

My neighbor Miss Jane had a GE combo in Harvest Gold, and the console was like the one shown. It was installed when the house was built in '71. It broke down a number of years ago, and she got a new washer. However, there was no room for a dryer unless she moved a wall, so she line drys.

I got this one.

So, in addition to the above question, how do you move one of these?  Do they require shipping braces/bolts?  I figure not, but I wanted to be sure.

No shipping braces or bolts necessary as this machine has NO suspension, thus, nothing to move around and get damaged.

The final year for the GE washer/dryer combo was 1972.   As to when this control panel design started production, I can only guess... perhaps 1966 or 1967??

CONGRATS and best of luck!

Kevin
