While on our vacation, we are staying at an old friends of Steve. In his kitchen are these Whirlpool appliances that he bought new in 85. The color is wheat. I knew of the color, just not a common one. He still uses them.

The color

Looks like a mix of the almond & harvest gold colors. Not quite as yellow as harvest gold & darker than almond.

I think the yellow is from the picture. No yellow in the actual color. It's kind of a dark almond. Lighter than brown.

The dishwasher can probably scrub the paint off the walls if memory serves me right about those machines. They were good machines at cleaning

He should keep using them too!!!  Another builder built a few houses around the corner and a couple of blocks from me used that same dishwasher in his new homes.

I have the exact same stove from 1990. It is our everyday stove and works like a charm. I did have the clock rebuilt 3 years ago. Ours is in white. Gary

Justin, unless this monitor isn't accurate and they are the unshaded version of Harvest Gold, the Whirlpool/Kenmore name for that color is Toast. My neighbor Thelma had a Kenmore washer & dryer in that color. Was only available for a short time.
