I was making my before returning to work Walmart run this morning at 1am and as I was walking through the detergent aisle I saw a new green bottle of GV detergent...hmmm, I'll bet that smells like the Fred's brand and Aldi brand since I'm sure it's made by Sun and I was correct. What surprised me was seeing a big green bottle of GV fabric softener beside the Gain bottles. I am 99% sure it is made by Sun (Henkel). I currently use their blue bottle and we have been very pleased. I sniffed the green bottle and yep, it smells very much like Gain. So next time I need to buy some I'll be getting the big green bottle. It works just fine, as well as or better than All free or Snuggle (after all they are both Sun anyway). |

I don't use much FS but when I do I really like the Great Value in the blue jug. Its about as close to the old April Fresh that I've found. I still mix it half with Downy Free. Same with Gain original, rarely use it but even that I mx with unscented. |

askolover's original post, I decided I needed to go check that out for myself. since I have a new jug of Gain Original scent. It stuck me when I got the new jug of gain, the scent was "off", noticed a bit of a Alcohol smell to it. I use it a few times, works, but it not what I remember by any means.
Went to Walmart, found they're version of it, sniffed it. Oh yeah, that's the right scent! I bought a jug(gallon) of it and I will also continue buying it. It's shy of $2.00 cheaper Gain original too. Been happy with it so far, not a over powering of a scent that makes the nose and eyes go haywire. just right, pleasant. |
