Hi Captain Dwight! Spoke with you a couple of weeks ago on the phone. I might be interested. Do you know what they want for the dryer? Does it run? I'll pursue the Craigslist posting, but was wondering if you know any more about it. Also does the owner by chance still know where the matching washer is!? (yeah, right) Ken (kennywhy@att.net) |

Hi anybody/everybody. I just wanted to follow up on this posting. Thanks for the notice Captain Moody. Though my obsessive interest in old appliances has waned over last few years, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to save this beauty. Roseville, Michigan is only about 15 miles away from my home in Detroit. Assuming the photo is attached below, you can see the machine I picked up last Saturday looks great. Currently it's sitting at the side driveway, and it should be in the basement in a week or so. It's truly super clean, with non-scratched porcelain and in proverbial “mint" condition. The previous owner still occasionally used it. But here we go again . . . I've got to get a matching washer! Though I know this is a very rare machine with “ahead of it's time", super modern design (for 1957), with only one year of production, maybe I'll find one someday. I would be willing to trade another classic machine and additional cash, as necessary, for the dryer's mate. Probably wishful thinking, but keep me in mind friends. In the meantime (to quote singer Del Shannon), I'll keep searching, searching. Thanks again. Ken |
