I've been trying out my Downy Blue Ball softener in the Tag. I just realized that if I select "extra rinse" it comes at the end of the cycle after the softener rinse. I will not buy a washer in a hurry again. |

Ok, that's just bizarre. How does this arrangement save money over having the extra rinse first? Jim |

With a Downey Ball the softener is dispensed during the first spin, so if you select an extra rinse you will always be rinsing out the fabric softener with the second rinse.
I stopped using fabric softener altogether about 5 mos. ago and use wool dryer balls with scented essential oils in the dryer instead. I much perfer this over the fabric softener. The clothes feel much better, the towels dry better and the essential oil leaves a very faint scent. Google wool dryer balls and check out the different feedback. You may decide you like them better than using Downey. Eddie |

Sorry, my mistake. I know you said downy ball but I was still thinking the washer was dispensing it. Jim |
