The Ampico is in the shop. This is a Duo Art. I felt sorry for it and figured I could have both in the living room. | ||

Reproducing Piano's are amazing
The Duo Art system is designed to reproduce the dynamics of performance by using control punches on the side of the roll. Player piano's are really a digital form of recording. There are many video's on Youtube. Here is one of a Steinway with the Duo Art system. Another system was Welte.

I went out and picked up all the boxes of piano rolls to go with this new piano. I spent the better part of the day annoying the neighborhood.
