I'm not sure of the exact year, but Hotpoint had the fluid drive system similar to Speed Queen around this time. They were adequate machines for the time. Like all solid tub machines, they were poor at sediment removal and Hotpoint was below average on water extraction. I know the early models you had to manually the timer to wash when the water level was reached.
