Our local Sears stocks these (not sure why it's more a suburban store where most people have full width normal diswashers), they're pretty darn narrow. If I remember I'll take a picture of one up close next time I'm there.

Standard widths for a dishwasher are the 24" models. The 18" are the compacts.

I personally would never own an 18" machine. It just doesn't seem to be cost effective to me when you can run a 24" for the same amt. of money. Besides the cost of the actual machines aren't that much different from a full size machine.
