The first of these had that weird clock, that stove design was GEs most popular ever, it was made in various configurations up into the 70s. |

That "target" clock was a cheap way for GE to upgrade an otherwise BOL range, and I believe they introduced this feature in 1957 with their Clean Line design. I do not know if it was installed (only) at the factory, or if a dealer could install it for a customer. I don't think it was used more than one or two model years; I suspect it was generally seen as a rather 'tacky' addition to a nice product.
