Gorgeous.

If you don't want it, please let me know. I still remember the "new car smell" when our KDC-17A was delivered. And that beautiful US Steel stamp.

I haven't heard back from the seller yet but I'm probably not going to get it. If it was an 18 I would in a heartbeat. I need multi level washing

I grew up with-14's and -16's and never had a problem with items on the top rack.
Just 'sayin. Might be worth getting anyway. You can always swap it out later and re-sell it.
They are only new once! And that beautiful green!

The front panels were packed separately from the machine.  What a great find.

If anyone up there would like to buy it and hold it for me I would pay them for the favor. I really want this. Next to the Maytag WP-600 and the GE SU-70, I think this KitchenAid was one of the best dishwashers ever made

We had a KDC-17 for 15 yrs and never had any of the alleged top rack issues, it took only minimal common sense when loading. Hobart made single arm machines for like 30 yrs so knew how to make them work. A great machine that cleans and dries beautifully and in the blink of an eye. I like the Custom for it's simplicity and superior reliability, but you do need to feed it hot enough water. We found a very nice one a few years ago, stored and will go into our last retirement home. Hobart quality at it's zenith!
